That weird girl at the party

Late in his life, Ben developed a more nihilistic outlook of the world, and all it took was watching his girlfriend get crushed beneath that girl.
There was no sound like thunder or an earth-shaking impact, just a panicked little gasp from Chloe as she disappeared beneath the girl's stocking foot, and muted, wet crunch as her weight settled.
All teenage dreams of heroics were sucked out of him; no more delusions of finding out why nearly every person at the party was now an inch tall, no hope of reversing it, no saving everyone.  No more playing hero in little mind-movies, the big bad was here and too late did he realize that seventeen years of cinema hero worship wouldn't save him from seven inches of soft sole.
He heard her giggling, and saw the shadow cast on the ground grow larger and darker around him.  It was time to join his girlfriend in his fate as an unrecognizable mess beneath the foot of a girl whose name he'd never know, and a soft whimper was all he could manage in protest.  A soft, black wall, and many painful pops and crunches, delivered him to a soft, black oblivion.
